Well, here goes!
I’ve made a HUGE (crazy, fun, exciting) leap into the world of owning my own business, The Baer Minimalist. I feel like I’ve been working my entire life toward this moment. Each professional experience I’ve had, has brought me closer to feeling ready to take the step toward following my passion of organizing and party styling.
I’ve had a hankering for organizing since I was young, like REALLY young. I'm going to share a little secret with you that may explain my love of organizing. When I was in elementary school, I asked for matching hangers....for CHRISTMAS! What kid does that?!
As a freshman in high school, I had my first chance to organize for someone outside of my parents or my siblings. I was hired to babysit for five (yes, FIVE) kids for the summer and while they were napping, I’d take a few minutes to make the mother’s life a little easier. Whether that was sorting through a stack of catalogs or creating a meal plan for the week based on the items in her pantry/fridge, I loved the smile on her face when she got home and the way her home looked as I was leaving.
On the party styling side, I chose to take all the elements I LOVE about planning an event and build them into a service of The Baer Minimalist. I love dreaming up a theme that suits the guest of honor just right, crafting all the little details and making sure that the day comes together in a way that seems effortless.
So new and old friends, here I am, The Baer Minimalist! I can’t wait to help the people of Indianapolis become more organized + stylized!
